You know what, I really do not think Piers knows much about meteorology. I
met him many years ago and corresponded for a while but he seemed unwilling
to learn preferring to campaign against the MetO and establishment instead.
Have you not noticed that Piers usually says the opposite of what the MetO
say? I wonder why? So on the odd occasion he is right he can use it to bash
the MetO with. Funnily enough the MetO think he is "eccentric" and he is
safely ignored!
