It's all relative I guess. When we visited Canada a few years ago we
stayed in the Churchill, Hudson Bay area in November. I recall
complaining about trying to do some gift shopping in temperatures of
minus 15 only to be told by the locals it was actually quite mild! I see
today that Churchill is approaching minus 40 - they don't close the
school there unless the temperature goes beow apparently minus 50. Such
temperatures don't bother the piolar bears: in fact the colder the
better it seems!
