... 18/1100Z: light snow continues ... proper flakes ... sticky ...
visibility still in fog limits but not due to the snowfall intensity.
Little 'new' snow again, so total amounts holding steady around 6 cm
mean with LOC pockets 7 or 8 cm, some settling now. Been clearing paths
and it's clear that a lot of heat is coming up from below.

From my stand-by gauge, the total PPN at 09Z (24hr up to then) = 11.9
mm. Doesn't truly relate to the snow depth as when the event started,
there was an extended period of sleet, and given the nature of the
'true' snow, it's 'flopped down' (i.e. settled) from its theoretical
maximum depth.

OAT: 0.3°C (note, coming down)

.... 18/1200Z: continuous slight snow (proper flakes/varying sizes)
still, but showing signs of easing further in intensisty: visibility
hovering just within fog limits (~900M). New depth since 09Z perhaps 1
cm, but overall depth has if anything settled back from the mean of 6 cm
at that time to around 5 cm.
OAT: 0.4°C.

Martin.
