35mm rain since midnight at Postbridge (369m asl) now gusting 40 knots
up there too. Goodness knows what it is like on the exposed moor higher up.
PS just discovered a small live camellia shoot coming out of the stump.
That has been growing since the bush was mishaped (flattened) in the Dec
2010 snows. It will now become the main bush in time, hopefully. Nature
always finds a way!

As with the mild spell in December, the rain has only been patchy and
light here. The sun even managed a brief appearance today though it
seems the sunshine recorder was asleep for that.

Rain has fallen everyday for the last 8 days, but most of it only small
amounts.

22nd 15.5 mm
23rd 17.9 mm
24th 1.7 mm
25th 3.4 mm
26th 7.7 mm
27th 6.3 mm
28th 2.4 mm
29th 2.7 mm.

Monthly mean temperature now back up to my estimated LTA at 6.0°C. Max
today = 13.4°C.

A dry (so far), mild and windy evening.

(19:31), 12.6°C, RH 95%, DP 11.8°C, 1003 hPa (S), Wind 22 mph SSW.
