A lot of ifs and buts, but these should reduce as the event nears.
I have yet to read dire warnings of 100ft drifts and temperatures of -20C,
in the Daily Express, so can I presume tomorrow's blizzards have been
cancelled?
Blizzards? Who said that?
Looks as if the low will run eastwards over SW England and up the English
channel. Doesn't look like an explosive (or even implosive :-P) deepener
any more - some limited deepening as it runs eastwards. Precipitation only
likely to be of snow over mountains of south Wales. This will all be
tonight and tomorrow morning, rather than Friday night. Friday afternoon
and evening sees a trough moving south across the UK, which will introduce
somewhat colder air and some short-lived northerlies.
