Cold and wet 24 hours. Rain all daylight hours yesterday, gradually turned
to snow between 1745z and 1915z. The snow became intermittent by midnight,
and finally stopped in the past hour. The snow gave a complete covering of
2cm for a time during the evening, but lying snow has been melting all the
time as temperatures haven't quite been cold enough for it to persist.
There is now less than 50% coverage, depth of 1cm.
