The 'official' highest for yesterday was declared as
Drumnadrochit with 12.3°C, with Braemar being the lowest
at -8.6°C.

I was very interested to not that after I'd seen +10.0ºC on the
car thermometer yesterday (yes, I know that's not reliable, but
it does suggest fairly mild air rather than frost) I came across
several patches of thin snow and ice in shaded but not
especially sheltered locations near the Moray coast. I was
surprised that they still survive with air temperatures in
double figures, as confirmed by Colin's data.
