Snow cover keeps our soil and earth temperatures up but when it melts,
after an initial drop things will soon recover and my veg patch will shoot
ahead.

I always find that rain raises the soil temps. quickly. Soil is very dry at
present.
Yep I guess the closest I got to Copley was Shap on the M6 :-)
