Having now had the opportunity to look back at more detailed imagery from

Tues/Weds/Thurs, there was lifted sand/dust over NW Africa, with the upper

flow over southern UK during Thursday and early Friday being sourced over

that area, so I am content that these are Saharan dust deposits and certainly not pollen.

Have to wash my car today as a result. Definitely looks like dust, rather than pollen.
