Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Saturday.
Issued 0406z, 07/05/13.

A trough is likely to move across the UK during the weekend, with a risk of
rain for most; the rain, however, may be light and patchy in the south of
England. Into the following week both GFS and ECM show an unsettled picture,
with low pressure never far away and further troughs affecting the UK.

ECMWF: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1201.gif
Moderate WNW'lies cover the UK as the result of a trough over eastern areas.
A weak ridge builds on day 6, bringing further WNW'lies, followed by
WSW'lies on day 7 as the ridge moves eastwards. On day 8 low pressure lies
to the NW, leading to SW'lies, followed by a trough over England and Wales
on day 9 with SE'lies elsewhere. On day 10 the trough persists, with
easterlies and NE'lies for Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.

MetO: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif
MetO shows WSW'lies with a high to the south, followed by further WSW'lies
on day 6.

GFS: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png
The UK lies under WSW'lies, the result of a low to the NW and a high to the
SW. There's little change on day 6, but by day 7 a weak trough moves
eastwards with further WSW'lies. On day 8 a trough covers the UK, leading to
SW'lies. There are northerlies on day 9 as the trough moves eastwards,
followed by further northerlies on day 10.

GEM: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif
The Canadian model shows westerlies as a trough moves eastwards over the UK.

JMA: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif
JMA also shows a trough moving across the UK, with WSW'lies in advance and
westerlies following behind.
