Here in the Scottish Borders niether the wind nor the rain were exceptional,
howevr their must of been a lot of rain to the west. The following link
shows three pictures of the Tweed at the biggest I have seen it in the 20
years I have lived next to it. Although very big it is still several feet
short of its record level set in August 1948
