Default Record 'warm' South Pole

Just in an idle moment I had a look at the South Pole Amundsen-Scott (89009) temperature today. It appeared 'warm' with a max of -30.1 which, according to Wikipedia beat the previous high in June which was -31. The wind was blowing at 24kts, which I guess is fairly unusual and brought down the 'warmer' air from aloft. No big deal but interesting, I thought!
