I watched the ITV local weather this evening, after switching over
from the cricket.

I was rather gobsmacked to hear that Saturday was going to be by far
the best day of the weekend, with dry and sunny weather forecast for
SW England.

A quick look at the various models prompted me to wonder, where did
they get this forecast from?

The Met Office supply forecasts to ITV. I assume this includes the
local stations.

I would agree with the forecast of dry and sunny weather for SW
England . . . but only if you're flying over it at 30,000ft.
