Very loud bang here late morning (around 11 25 BST). House shook and
there was enough force to cause the TBR to tip. Reports indicate that it
was heard over a large part of W. Essex and E. Herts. It was not the
double boom normally associated with a sonic boom but we shall see.

At least it brought most of the neighbours out onto the street.
