kestrell 4000
DO NOT play with the Kestrell 4000 calibration - I did and I totally messed
it up . Eventually I was able to re cal it by using a hospital baby
incubator or all things. I was able to set the RH to 25% and then 75% for an
hour each - something that is just impossible to do - Also I was never able
to find anyone in the UK who could do this for me.
One thing that lets the 4000 down (Not sure if this is the same as for the
3000) is that the annemometer only reads up tp 87 mph - and this means that
I have red linned it more than once during my hurricane antics.
All the best

Yes very pleased with mine. Kind of difficult to get reading when temp is
low. Heat from body quickly sends temp rising. I place mine outside with
30 sec recording to get temps. Was wondering if you could get hidden
screens like for maintanance, eg. by turning on while holding one or more
buttons etc. Other instruments, like gps, have "secret screens" for
testing.
