Default Should we think about creating uk.sci.weather.moderated?

Just a thought - then we could include posts by those of us only

It's been talked about before, but somebody has to host the group and monitor it. Usually someone with a commercial interest in weather. Most of the original professional contributors have now gone anyway. I used to be able to access the number of people following the group, but since moving from demon (14 years ago!) I can't check the numbers. There cannot be more than 20 people regularly following this now. The Navitron (for us off griders) is a well organised and run group without any of the ego madness that is going on here..

Dawlish was hounded off here a couple of years ago, but then slowly snuck back in. Pity he is so abusive as he can be quite charming and constructive at times. I guess I am out of here as well now, two seems much more constructive and informative.
