Rainfall peaking just inland from Shoeburyness with 90mm at Hadleigh and
the nearby Canvey Island. 71.4mm here.
Dave, S.Essex

================================================== ===========

That's an amazing statistic seeing that Shoebury is the driest place in the
country. As for Canvey Island, much of which is below sea-level, they need
90mm of rain like a hole in the dyke.
