Southeast rain

As the figures come in for the extraordinary rainfall totals over the
southeast yesterday,I was wondering whether the Met Office or somebody
with the data can plot the isohyets for the said area ?
Ive noticed there appears to be a falloff from north to south as well as
east to west,
i.e Epping 27.8mm, Woodford Green 30.5mm and Wanstead 32.3mm. For those
not in the know there is a distance north to south of about 8/9 miles
between these readings and west to east ,say 30/35 miles to the epicentre
of Hadleigh Castle who appear to have received about 80 mm !
Quite something for the drought stricken centre of Gt. Britain.

Sorry Dave your figures give a much clearer picture but it would still be
interesting to get the overall
pattern plotted ,such enormous variations over such short distances...
