Cold NE'ly have now set in across Northern England and Scotland with heavy rain and temperatures of around only 10 or 11°C.
I notice that Cairngorm had a 1200 UTC temp of just 0.8°C, so this rain might be falling as snow on the highest tops.
In contrast, here in mid Devon, we've just about got away with it so far with a max of 20.8°C earlier today.
