Would some kind person like to point me towards (possibly a moderated

This group is just fine as long as you kill-file the few idiots we have

in this village. Although things may get a little fractious from time

to time, that has always been the case; I've been dumping the odd

person in my kill-file for almost as long as this group has existed.

As to forums, I can't stand the things. Why anyone would want to use

anything so slow and cumbersome baffles me. I can use one access method

to check all my mail, RSS feeds and a few dozen newsgroups. Why switch

from a simple system where I can see on a single screen whether anything

new has arrived? I've tried a few forums but most of them are a right

pain to navigate through and each one has its own annoyingly different

set of peculiarities.

Anyway, I use a moderated newsgroup; it's this one and I moderate it

myself for me alone. That way, if I blank someone, I don't annoy

someone else who may find that person's contributions amusing.

Come on Graham be brave who are the idiots you like to kill file and why are they idiots.

I thought the main bone of contention here was the way Garvey with his chirpy politeness has won so many friends over the years.
