It's not so much hostility towards questioning AGW in itself but the

conspiracy-based, veering on paranoid 'Reds under the bed' approach

you take. The Met Office with their 'agenda' and the twin socialist evils

of the Guardian & the BBC.

Fair enough answer but through personal experience I know how these things work when an ideology takes over an organisation from the top downwards.


For example when the IPCC released it's 5th assessment a well known meteorologist emailed me telling me that all at Exeter had been briefed with the 'party line' as it were if approached by the press. I've also heard tales from the inside that people are scared to show a contrary position inside UKMO as indeed I saw the same thing mentioned the other day for a similar American organisation.
