Default [OBS] Chalfont St Giles - Fri 14th Jan 2005

Chalfont St Giles - Friday 14th January 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------

0615z E F1 7000 BR SKC -01.4/-02.3 1029
RMK: Sky clear apart from one prominent contrail to south.
Rather odd temperature fluctuations during the night:
-0.2 at 1925z
+1.3 at 2200z
-1.4 at 0115z
-0.1 at 0345z
-1.4 at 0615z

0900z CALM 7000 BR 1Sc030 6Ci250 -01.5/-02.2 1029
RMK: Ci appears to be mostly contrail remnants. Untreated
roads dry and frost-free. Gritted roads wet. Slight hoar
frost on cars and grass. It's one of very few occasions
this winter with the garden frozen hard. A real 'winter'
morning :-)
24-HR STATISTICS: Max (0900-0900): 8.5 at 1440z
Air min: -2.1 at 0810z
Grass min: -5.2
Rain: Nil

1200z SSE F2-3 15km 1Cu018 6Ci250 06.2/03.3 1028
RMK: Wind set in at about 1100z as the temperature reached 3c

1500z SSE F2 15km 1Sc040 6Ci300 08.4/01.3 1027
RMK: The ground is still frozen in shady spots.
It has been one of these 'good to be alive' days with
sparkling sunshine and a crisp breeze - perfect :-)
