That was at 0900z. The 10z SYNOP has 81 knots gusting 98 knots. At 11z it was
"only" 69 knots gusting 97 knots.

After a little bit of a lull between 0700 and 0900z it has been steadily
freshening here again and it's now a solid Force 7 perhaps up to Force 8 at
times. I reckon the biggest gusts are 45-50 knots.
