To be honest you've got no chance. December has already been relatively
dry and as you say the ground is saturated. But that's winter on a
lowland clay soil for you.

It's the wetness thats causing me problems, didn't have this the last couple of winters. However, I did get a call today for another aeration and this is on a well drained lawn, so I have a plan B for tomorrow, or if I'm really lucky do them both.
