Default How low dows a Hurricane go!

According to an article in Weather (Feb 1987, A new north Atlantic low
pressure record: S.D.Burt), the lowest global sea level pressure to that
time was 870 mbar recorded by a dropsonde in the eye of typhoon Tip on 12
October 1979. The Atlantic low pressure record referred to in the article
was 916 mbar on 15 December 1986. In another article by the same author in
Weather April 1993 (Another new north Atlantic low pressure record), the
deep low of 10 January 1993 is thought to have reached a minimum pressure of
between 912 and 915 mbar.
