The high tide in one specific location was the worst they had seen for
flooding in 20 years - which isn't the same thing at all.
Bad news for those that got flooded but it wasn't even as notable as the
earlier and infamous St Jude "storm of the century" non-event.
What was the minimum pressure of this most recent storm low?
Tonight's storm is is warming up now with gales already gusting to
40+mph but there is nothing much left for them to snap off. Earlier
violent storms have snapped everything seriously weak - the only problem
is that with waterlogged soft ground whole trees may topple.
