The problem with science is there are arguments and counter arguments.
We are warming up, something ten years ago I would have dismissed, the
consequences of such changes is the problem. As far as the programme
was concerned I was sceptical as to it being the cause of the
sub-sahara drought, to many other factors comeinto play that
interrelate and I still don't think we know all the equasions yet.
I would have been far more convinced of the theory that this was the
cause of the 70's/80's droughts in the Sahel had they provided evidence
of lower SST's in the areas of ocean that had supposedly had prevented
the African monsoon from moving northwards.
