Is there not a difference between being interested in extreme weather,
and enjoying it? Especially when that enjoyment takes no account of the
misery being caused to others living closer to the ocean?

Then one should not enjoy any type of weather, because they all bode ill
for someone. That's a ludicrous proposition.

Either that, or someone has a guilty conscience.

Would you enjoy a violent thunderstorm? Of course you would.

Would you enjoy a violent thunderstorm which was stationary over your
house, with several lightning strikes reducing half of your house to
rubble, large hail smashing your conservatory and greenhouse, and
sewage coming up through your toilet due to the sheer volume of
rainwater swamping the area?

No, thought not; but for all you know - one or any combination of these
may be happening to some poor unfortunate under a storm that you are
enjoying from a safe distance.

Or are you suggesting that we should all find an interest in a topic
that we don't enjoy? Equally ludicrous.

The messiah ecourages the recruitment of his disciples by means of
one-upmanship, and envy of the messiah's exalted position. He survives
on his pinnacle firm in the belief that many others would wish to have
his experiences (which is highly debateable), and because they will
defend him from the slightest criticism, whether justified or not.

To be fair, this subthread is the result of he who will jump down WH's
throat at the slightest excuse.

Dullish responds to more Hand posts than anyone else and it is almost
always critical. Part of his campaign to make this NG a better place for
Dullish.
