Default Haytor - a metre of rain now certain

What does it feel like after reducing yourself to the abusive level of larry? I thought better of you than that and I have maintained a level of politeness with you through our sparring. I still will, even though you clearly want to make this personal. It's a shame you have been reduced to this, David.

Hardly abuse, a comment about a poorly judged statement you made. And this from someone who frequently issues the one word comment, idiot.

I'm not making this personal, I'm responding to the personal comment you made to Will. Go back and read the question, which was effectively asking if anyone knew of a wetter place in England.

Here is your comment to remind you. "Not really cool at all, Will (your question mark invited comment). Why anyone would actually enjoy these conditions is a mystery to me and to everyone else except for a select few like yourself. *))" What part of that answers the question Will made?

It doesn't. We all know that Will is impressed with the record amount of rainfall, hence the cool remark that you have completely (and deliberately) misinterpreted.

None of us would wish anyone to suffer loss of life, injury or damage to property as a result of weather, but it does. Fact. But you are suggesting that Will is somehow gaining pleasure from this. He isn't. Now go listen to John Kettley as I suggested and try to understand that many of us have an emotional attachment to weather, something you seem incapable of comprehending.
