Haytor - a metre of rain now certain
In article ,
says...
Are you seriously suggesting that in usw, which is a newsgroup that has
the word "weather" in its title, posts about the level of record
rainfall at user locations are unwelcome?

Hilarious. Do read what is written.
I have read what is written. Perhaps what is written is not what you
think you said, but you have faced that criticism before. I shall re-
quote them, that you may read them yourself.
[...]if you can't leave, put up with the criticism when you wallow in
personal records, about which few, except one or two acolytes profess
that they care about.
It implies quite clearly that you will criticise the posting of personal
records although to be fair you probably meant only the personal records
of Mr Hand. It states that Mr Hand should put up with that criticism.
Quite why you should bring that up now though is a mystery, because I
can't recall the last time Will complained about your criticism. He
appears to be putting up with it quite well, thank you very much. Maybe
that is what is causing you a little angst, perhaps. Well I'm sorry, but
if Will fails to respond your taunts Paul, you should just put up with
it.
It also implies quite clearly that only acolytes of Mr Hand are
interested in them although what you probably meant is that you are not
interested in them. How many acolytes are interested in your forecasts,
Paul[1]? Why do you post them?
[1] A little change in attitude, some humility perhaps, and you would
get a far better response to your forecasts. It's sad that after all
this time, you still haven't worked that out.
