Default Red sky at morning...

Curiously this morning had a spectacular and ominous looking red sky at
sunrise (aka shepherds warning). The really vicious storm earlier in the
week was just dismal dark grey with much wind and rain.

But how did the lore for the red sky in morning shepherds warning get
started - prevailing winds mean any cloud on the Eastern side of us has
already passed by and dumped whatever rain it was going to.

It really was very striking today around sunrise. Anyone else see it?
(sorry didn't get a chance to photograph it)
