Definate glow to the northern horizon between the little bits
of
cloud. First aurora for years, there may have been other
chances in
the last year but cloud is PITA...

Best show I have ever seen - I was fortunate enough to be
driving home from Aberdeen, and there was no problem finding
dark places just north of the A96 to view it from.

Is there any way of finding out what the peak Kp was, and when
it peaked? The best display I saw was around 22.00, and when I
got home shortly after it had faded,

predicting a decrease to 6.33 and then 6.0. I stayed up until I
was almost asleep on my feet, but the prediction was for it to
continue to decrease.

the last four are from last night. I resisted the temptation to
tweak the images at all, as even the tiniest available tweak
produced a spectacular but unnaturally bright result.
