It might have been, don't get misled by the photos. Those will be
quite long time exposures which can greatly enhance what is there
over what the eye can see.
These from 2003, I didn't percieve most of the red in those images
and the green was the normal very pale milky green and the vertical
striations are not as obvious. To the naked eye they can seem like a
trick of the eye, is that really there? You also need to let your
night vision develop fully as well, 10 mins or so.
