So does that mean you've yet again changed your 'running' forecast and 70c

will now not be reached?

=============================

I'm not sure that was ever forecast, but hopefully not ever is the answer.

You are, of course, correct. I certainly didn't forecast that 70c would be achieved. *))

Neither did I **forecast** that 70F would be achieved. I was simply speculating about the possible weekend temperatures. The speculation proved to be accurate. gfs forecast temps on their 2m temperatures chart always underestimate the top temperatures if the sun comes out - and my goodness did the sun come out! What a day! I drove from Cheltenham to South Wales and on to Dawlish around lunchtime and saw not a cloud in the sky. Car thermometer read 18C at the warmest, driving past Bristol at 1.30.

For a man who has been convinced by 97% of Climate Scientist that global warming is will continue to rise and pose dangers to the human race ........you leave a gigantic carbon footprint.

Do you not concede that this is rather hypocritical?
