Eocene!

The Eocene-Optimum: When the earth was ice free and life was abundant
from the equator to the poles in both the oceans and land. Nothing
locked up with permafrost or ice; broad-leaf deciduous forest growing to
the Arctic Circle.

Despite CO2 well above today's levels, there was no nasty ocean
acidification and corel reefs flourished in a far greater extent than
they do today.......
