weather was glorious with a seemingly stiff ESE breeze almost blowing

the small waves parallel with the pebbled beach. Disappointing HI Fi

quick it is to get to Brighton; from Brighton Station to my house in

Sydenham just under an hour.

An hour?

You could do it in 4 minutes in the 50s.

The irony is Col I recently work wise moved from Dulwich SE London to Hackbridge in Sutton and although that is only 15 miles further each way compared to my previous journey of 3 mille each way, the latter journey took me 10 minutes and the former to Hackbridge takes over and hour EACHWAY.

So there you have 9 miles takes over an hour and to Brighton just over forty miles takes less than an hour.
