People's subservience is so deep into the culture of this country now

that people expect to be looked after from cradle to grave. It's very

corrosive to the sense of community were people help each other, and

not calling the police or suing over the least problem.

The gentle post war Britain at its best has long since gone. We now live in topsy turvey land where good is bad and bad is good.
