Yes Nick. I think this is quite unprecedented. Summer of '76, '75, '70 possibly?
The summer monsoon has set in by now in most other years

Haze and a few clouds to the north west late yesterday evening scuppered
the sunshine.

The recorder turned off at 19:41 giving a total for yesterday of 14.2
hours, that being only 86% of the total possible.

Today has unbroken sunshine again so far but the sky is rather hazy so I
doubt I'll see any record.

Friday (20th) may end up being the day with the most sunshine of the
year with 15.5 hours (94% of the total possible).

Given the forecast, June sunshine should surpass 200 hours tomorrow.
