I reckon it was south of Hayling Island, about 19:00. My first ever
sighting of one, so I'm suitably thrilled :-)

Fantastic, I've never yet seen one (ball lightning is 'my' rare
event).

Looking at the Netweather 1Km/5min radar, there is a small intense and
discrete rain patch shown south of Hayling and east of Bembridge at
around 18:45 moving SE, it is no more than 3Km square and shows
precipitation intensity up to 96mm/hour, I reckon that's the one!
