Default Storms probably more patchy than expected today?

Obviously difficult to predict but haven't seen much on radar over S.E and
East Anglia. Max 26.4C here today on a dry and mainly sunny day. All the
action was Friday here really. I imagine the organisers of The Open at
Liverpool are a bit miffed having modified it to a two tee start and
finishing 4 hours early to accomodate delays for the torrential rain and
storms that didn't materialise. A bit of bad luck for the forecasters as it
seemed to wrap itself all around the Wirral but they came in for a bit of
stick from the comentators.

To attempt to predict whether or not thunderstorms will occur at a specific
point 24 hours ahead is a mug's game. The science isn't that good. I can't say
that I'm surprised that the weather evolved rather differently to what was
forecast.
