Jack - I think it was you last year who posted about such waves that didn't
seem to be orographically induced. Today seems such a day if we look to
the NW of Ireland on this image - the 13.25z image from Bernard Burtons's
site. With a SW wind those waves (very short in length) have no high
ground upwind.
