Why are we not seeing it in ARgyll??
Clearish skies

You can't have been looking in the right direction :-)

:~))
Its that a way init :~))
Granted I was involved at the earlier time but Tim caught it ---

definately
none of the colours that others have been describing

It was probably at its peak from about 7.00 to 7.15 or so. Mainly a
white glow to the north, sometimes tinged red, with whitish streamers
across the zenith, plus irregular reddish and greenish patches and glows
to the north. They didn't last long, but there was still a whitish glow
to the north for the next hour.

Yup --- mostly pale riders --- white glows

How come 'em doon sooth get such stunners ?

sulk
It would be great to toast a good sky

Indeed it was :-)

We raised a sip of mead to the later appearance

Still very very jealous of the visions others saw

- what made the difference ?
Too far north ?
Too bright a moon ?
There seemed to be some cloud for refraction/ reflection?

curious
