And another good display starting about 10.20 for c.10 minutes. Red,
green and white rays coming up from north towards the zenith, breaking
up into patches, then subsiding to the a large whitish glow occupying
c.50% of the north sky.

Yes to the strike across the sky, the rays and the glow [ they are
wonderful ] - but Tim was out with new toy for Xmas [ telescope ] and no red
or green. :~)) miff
