We're in Banff at the moment. We arrived on Saturday with the
temperature
in the 20s. Similarly on Sunday. Yesterday, Monday, the
temperature
plummeted and on Tuesday we woke up to about 75mm of snow.
More snow is
forecast for Wednesday and temperatures back in the 20s for
the rest of
the week. It' s a good job we were partially prepared for cold
weather!

Knowing that you're Scottish I was confused for a moment,
until I remembered that there was a Banff in Canada as well as
in Scotland.

Likewise. Until I read about the snow. The Canadian one is, of
course, named after the Scottish one, but bears no other
resemblance to it whatsoever.

There's an idea. I might amble over to Banff this afternoon if
the weather stays fine.
