Default [WR] Otter Valley, Devon - October Warmth

A dry day at last after 4 consecutively wet ones and a generally sunny
day that felt warm this afternoon; a last dying taste of summer.

Minimum = 6.9C
Maximum = 19.3C
Sunshine = 8.8 hours
Grass minimum = 4.0C.

The first 10 days of this October have been warm(ish) by day but there
have been a few chilly nights as well. It has been fairly sunny so far
with no dull or cloudy days.

1st - 10th
Mean minimum = 9.2C
Mean maximum = 18.0C
Mean = 13.6C
Rain = 40.0 mm
Sunshine = 54.4 hours.

Annual sunshine total now at 1693 hours. If the rest of the autumn and
winter turns out to be reasonably sunny then we might make 2000 hours of
bright sunshine this year. A lower than average sunshine level in April
(161 hours) & May (189 hours) might have scuppered things a little.
