Default Penzance Wet & Windy - Sharp Clearance

A very sharp clearance has just reached Penzance (10:45), in fact currently cloudless to the west http://www.landsendweather.info/ .

The fronts dropped a total of 3.4mm here, 1.0mm before 09:00, the remainder mostly between 09:00 & 10:00. It was the type of driving fine rain/drizzle that's typically associated with a strong orographic effect.

Some briefly very gusty winds, up to a F5 in Penzance, F6 in exposed spots with gusts 40mph.

Long sunny periods since 11:00 have already lifted the temperature to 17.2C (13:45). Looks like it'll exceed the 17.3C recorded on 10th.
