It's a straw that he grasps at. He does the same every time Arctic ice ticks upwards and used to about temperatures in the upper troposphere, or if it snows heavily in one part of the world, or if it gets cold where he lives etc. etc.. To larry and the deniers these all mean something and taken all together, they are absolute proof to him/them that AGW isn't happening.

However it's odd that every time (and typically) all these measures/instances are low, that doesn't mean anything.......*))
