Indeed, it was the warmest October ever recorded by AEMet and 0.7C above the previous highest
(1995). Some areas were more than 4C above normal.
Also of note was the continuing lack of rain in the eastern part of the country, including
the Mediterranean coast, with many areas there recording less than 25% of their normal
rainfall.
Some rain to come this month though with cold fronts. Drizzle by our standards, but rain
nevertheless.

Yes, the change of month has brought a sharp fall in temperature and much less settled weather,
with a series of fronts crossing the country, which looks set to continue for at least another
week.
However, with all the weather coming from the west, rainfall amounts in the east (especially on
the coast) have been slight.
