Just been looking back at maximum temperatures for November and today's
16.1C is nothing out of the ordinary for November as a month though
coming so late in the month makes it rather more notable.

The warmest temperature I have recorded in November since 2005 was in
2010 (not long before that nasty, cold weather set in) with 18.1C on the
4th. The whole first week of that month was unusually warm.

November 2011 (mean 10.9C) was the warmest and this month will not come
close. This month's mean is running at 10.0C.
