Yes. I believe February 1947, for example, was very dry in western
Scotland.

LOL at the LOL. Actually, I don't remember that one... about minus 4
by my calculations. Minus 4 months that is, my age at the time!

Turning to more recent times, January and February 1963 (!) were also
dry and settled in Western Scotland


urm -- well I am told that Feb 1963 was interesting and not just cos I
arrived in the middle of it -- not unfortunately in the west of Scotland but
the middle of London -- being a bit !!!!!!!!! early I gather my timing was
not ideal ????
